As a third-year Interior Design student in Louisiana State University's CIDA-accredited program, I have started exploring my passion for creating memorable spaces that enrich people's lives. Growing up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, I discovered my love for art and design at an early age—watching house-flipping shows and analyzing home interiors online when bored and constantly doodling and trying to build things out of cardboard. This early interest quickly evolved into a clear career path, motivated by my desire to help others while also exploring my passion for design.
With a strong foundation in problem-solving and a commitment to innovation, I focus on creating spaces that not only aesthetically meet functional needs but also elevate user experiences and overall well-being. We spend about 90% of our lives in the built environment, so it's important to me that what I produce will create generational positive impacts. My goal is to continually learn, continually improve, and create interiors that make a positive impact on how people live and interact with their environments.
Previous jobs have allowed me to build important skills like organization, time management, and attention to detail, all of which are essential in interior design. While working as a gymnastics coach, I developed leadership abilities and multitasking by organizing weekly class schedules and designing circuits to keep things running smoothly while instructing classes of 10 or more children. As a retail associate at End of the Lane, I gained experience in teamwork by coordinating daily tasks with my manager and collaborating with coworkers to ensure everything was completed. These experiences have equipped me to succeed in group and work environments.
